Minigame

Here's the minigame I've created for Globaloria! It's my first game I've ever made. It has a bunny chasing to eat a carrot and some pizza. Don't let the wolf in the game get you though, it deducts points! :)

Questions for Minigame

• Do you play games in your free time?
  I play games occasionally, when I have the time to.
• Which ones do you play and why are they your favorite?
  I like to play Wii games (snowboarding, etc.) and computer games (Sims!)
• Does this topic give you a new perspective about playing games? Why or why not?
  It makes me think about all the coding that went into one of the games you can get at Wal Mart for $15. My minigame took hours, and it's as simple as pie!

My Game Topic

My Globaloria game topic will be about rescuing animals. Recently I added links on my blogroll that will help me reseach my topic. They talk about events in animal rescue, how animals are rescued, and some statistics of how many animals are rescued.

Internet Safety

   Well, I'd say I'm pretty safe on the internet. But beware- anybody can be anybody on the internet. You'll never know who they are unless you meet them, and that's NOT a good idea. My dad is a police officer, and don't ask how many times he's told me of cases where really terrible things happen that started on the internet. Also, spam and viruses are loaded on the internet, ready to completely destroy your computer if you don't have a way to block it. Getting a computer security system like Norton is a very wise idea. Never give out your full name on the internet either. If you've got a Facebook- a good idea would be to put your middle name as your last name. Playing to Learn

   The genre for the game I'm creating I'd like to have as adventure. I've decided this because I played various games on the 'playing to learn' section of my blogger, and the category's name is Adventure. The game's picture is listed below: WV Animal Rescue Squad.

I'm planning on making a game somewhat similar to this. This game was really fun, and I'm excited for what's to come!

First Time Globaloria-er

   Hey! This is my first time in Globaloria, a tech class open for students to learn about technology and how to make video games. I'm loving Globaloria so far! Right now we're working on our wiki, editing it, uploading files, coding- all that stuff. I have experience with coding pretty well since I own a few websites- coding is a necessity when it comes to that stuff. I think it's really cool working with computers more that's actually school related, and there's not students in the class that don't have an idea how to change font on word processor. Things go a lot smoother and you learn tons, being a whole lot more fun then any other class I have! I'm excited for what lays ahead, especially the video game making!
